What is ceremony for me?

Ceremony is where I step out of my normal consciousness, my mind, my stressing thoughts and issues and step into a different space. A space where my emotions, sensations, intuitions & creativity gets more room. A space where my connection to what is bigger than me gets to be in focus. A space where I intentionally step into something (and sometimes out of something).

Ceremony becomes a step into the world of magic which sometimes is a co-creation of sounds, connection and healing and sometimes it is "simply" sitting and looking at the water without doing anything (which might be simple but definitely not easy ;) ).

It is a space so depending on my intention and also not within my power at all.

Sometimes it is like fireworks but most of the time it is more like a soft touch of rain on my skin and my journey of allowing that to be divine.

I always try to reach that place of being moved. That place where I allow myself to be touched by the divine in that exact moment. Maybe that is seeing the sun through the leaves, feeling love for my mother, connecting to what I believe is divine or crying my heart out. It doesn't have to be pleasant (or unpleasant). I simply try to allow myself to be touched by the present moment and to feel what happens inside of me in that touch.

I pray to live my life as a ceremony. To live with intention and connection. To allow myself to be moved by the present moment and to return home to the now every single day.
