Ancestral Whispers Retreat

Ancestral Whispers Retreat (w. Elder & Hawthorn)

A Reclamation of Ancestral Power, Plant Wisdom & the Medicine of Belonging

Welcome to a sacred weekend of remembering.
This is a call to those who long to reclaim the forgotten threads of their ancestral medicine—to listen deeply to the whispers of those who came before, and to stand rooted again in the strength, power, and wisdom of your own lineage.

This is not a journey to somewhere new—this is a return.

A return to the knowledge stored in your blood and bones. A return to the voices that echo through your dreams and stir beneath the surface of your daily life.
A return to the wild medicine of the land where your ancestors walked.

Guided by the potent Nordic plants Elder (Hyld) and Hawthorn (Hvidtjørn) — guardians of the threshold and protectors of the heart — we will walk into the hedge, the place-between, where the veils are thin and the old ways still live.

Together, we will:

  • Reclaim the medicine of your lineage through ritual, ceremony, and direct connection with your ancestral field

  • Restore (parts of) your spiritual inheritance by clearing old blockages and patterns that no longer serve your line

  • Strengthen your belonging to the land, the spirits, and the web of life

This is a weekend to call back your power, and to anchor your healing in the earth beneath your feet—with the guidance of sacred plants who have always known how to bring us home.

Join Us as we visit the guardians of the threshold: Hawthorn & Elder

Welcome to our magical medicinal garden, where the ancient wisdom of Elder (Hyld) and Hawthorn (Hvidtjørn) awaits. Together, we will embark on a journey of reconnecting and healing our roots, while reaching toward new growth, creating balance between past and future.

These two master plants—revered by our ancestors and deeply woven into Nordic folklore—offer powerful doorways to ancestral wisdom and heart-centered healing. Under their guidance, we will clear ancestral blockages, deepen our connection to their wise spirits, and step deeper into the sacred relationship between humans and the other-than-human-world.

This is your invitation. To return. To reclaim. To remember.

The Sacred Plants

Hawthorn: Mother of Dreams & Keeper of the Heart

Hawthorn stands at the threshold between worlds—a protector of boundaries and healer of hearts. Known as "the mother of dreams," this thorned guardian offers gentle yet powerful medicine for emotional healing and heart opening.

In ceremony, Hawthorn creates a safe container for vulnerability, helping us to process grief, sorrow, and anger while simultaneously protecting our tender hearts. Like a wise mother, she tucks us into the dreamworld where healing can occur on the deepest levels.

Elder: Doorway to the Ancestors

"Take off your hat when you pass the Elder tree, for in her branches dwell the ancestors, and in her berries flow the medicine of remembrance."

Elder is far more than the sweet syrup of childhood or the healing tea of winter illness (though it is that too). There is a reason why our ancestors would remove their hats when passing an Elder tree, and why tales of Hyldemor (the Elder Mother) persist in our folklore.

Elder offers a potent gateway—both to the deep halls of ancestral wisdom and to new hope and flowering possibilities. Working with Elder allows us to honor our roots while reaching toward new growth, creating balance between past and future.

Your Guides

Stephan and Eva Maria: We are partners in life and work, devoted to guiding sacred awakenings and initiations into the mysteries of nature. For over seven years, we've been creating spaces where people can reconnect with the spirit of the natural world and their own inner wisdom. We have been working deeply with the Hawthorn and Elder in our Garden for the past 3 years.

As Plant Wisdom Keepers & Medicine Guides, we invite you on a journey of homecoming — a path where magic emerges when you slow down and listen deeply. Through our Plant Dietas, Sacred Ceremonies, courses and intuitive mentorship, we blend ancient shamanic practices with modern therapeutic approaches, helping you rediscover your connection to the natural world and yourself.

From our Tinyhouse sanctuary in Denmark, we hold space for transformative experiences guided by plant wisdom, seasonal rhythms, and your own innate knowing. Our work isn't about escaping life, but entering more fully into relationship with it—finding wholeness through deep connection with nature and spirit.
