Honoring the Harvest -
Ceremony with Cacao & Calendula
As summer slowly begins its turn toward autumn, we gather in ceremony to honor the harvest - both the visible fruits of the earth and the invisible harvests of our lives.
Close to the ancient festivals of the grain harvest - the Celtic Lughnasadh and the Norse Freyfaxi - this gathering invites you to pause and acknowledge what has ripened through the year so far. What has grown? What has come into fruition?
We honor the gifts, lessons, relationships and inner qualities that have grown throughout the year.
Receiving them with gratitude and celebrating the abundance already present in our lives.
Following our Chiric Sanango Retreat, we open this Sunday Ceremony with Cacao & Calendula as a separate gathering, welcoming both retreat participants and new guests who feel called to join us.
Guided by Stephan and Eva Maria, we gather in a held ceremonial space where the spirit of Cacao & Calendula (in danish: Morgenfrue), the wisdom of nature, music, prayer, and community support us in celebrating the abundance already present in our lives.
This is an opportunity to celebrate who we have become through our sincere work, our challenges, and our natural growth.
Ceremonial Cacao
For thousands of years, Cacao has been used ceremonially throughout South and Central America as a sacred plant medicine for connection, gratitude, prayer, healing, and community.
Often experienced as gentle, heart-opening, and grounding, Cacao invites us into deeper relationship with ourselves, each other, and the living world around us.
In this ceremony, we work with Cacao as an ally for reflection and thanksgiving, as well as a dooropener into our local nature and Calendula. Together we honor the blessings, challenges, growth, and wisdom that have emerged through the cycle of the year.
As we drink the Cacao, we create space to recognize both the outer harvest of our lives and the inner harvest carried within our hearts.

The Ceremony
We gather in a ceremonial space, outdoors or indoors depending on the weather.
Through meditation, music, singing, prayer, sharing, silence, and ritual, we explore the theme of harvest and gratitude and help to heal what holds us back to receive abundance.
For those joining after the Chiric Sanango Retreat, the ceremony offers a gentle space for integration and reflection. For others, it is an opportunity to reconnect with nature's rhythms and the ancient wisdom of seasonal celebration.
We come together to acknowledge what is already here.
To accept what is
To celebrate what has grown.
To give thanks for what has been received.
And to listen for what the coming season may be asking of us.
As part of the ceremony, you are invited to bring a small offering for our communal harvest altar — perhaps a flower, fruit, grain, herb, poem, song, handmade object, or another symbol of something you are grateful for. Together, these offerings become a visible expression of our collective harvest.

Calendula’s invitation
Have you given yourself time to heal?
Time to slow down and allow all of you to catch up, even the slowest parts?
Join us for our Calendula Treatment & Ceremony as we open the space for this master healer to guide us. Give yourself time to rest, recuperate, receive and ask in ceremony for clarity on what you really need in your healing journey.
Sometimes all what is needed is to step back and allow Spirit to take over. Allow your body to do what it already knows how to do - come home into balance, into harmony, into connection. This can provide the clarity needed to take the next step in the healing journey - whatever that may be in the spirit or in the physical body.
Calendula is a healer and a powerful master teacher who can guide, show and help us. With her brightness she opens a clear view straight into life with all its holes, hills and valleys. During this Calendula & Cacao Ceremony we will work with Calendula as a master healer through the Cacao/Calendula brew, healing herbal oil, meditation and sound journey.
This is also an opportunity to ask this master teacher for clarity on the healing you need, whether it be physical, emotional, mental or spiritual.
Clarity from within and from this Master Healer Calendula.

The abundant, playful spirit of Cacao
Ceremonial Cacao is quite different from the hot cocoa you may remember from your childhood.
Our Ceremonial Cacao comes from non-hybridized, non-plantation understory trees growing in the ancient tropical rainforests of Guatemala and Mexico. It undergoes minimal processing, helping to preserve many of its naturally occurring compounds and nutrients.
Cacao is naturally rich in minerals, antioxidants, and magnesium, and has been valued for centuries as both a nourishing food and ceremonial ally.
Many people experience this Cacao as uplifting, heart-opening, energizing, and supportive of presence, creativity, connection, and emotional openness.
We work with 100% pure, direct-trade ceremonial-grade cacao from Guatemala and Mexico.
