Pilgrimage to the King’s Oak
We leave the usual setting and walk together to one of the oldest living beings in Northern Europe - the Kongeegen, the King’s Oak.
Growing in the forests of Jægerspris, Sjælland, this tree has stood for an estimated 1500–2000 years. Long before our time, it rooted into the earth, weathered storms, and witnessed generations come and go.
This gathering is for men who feel the call to step into deeper presence, responsibility and inner leadership - by returning to a place within that is steady, rooted and able to hold direction.
A place to meet your inner King.
The King Within
Every man can become a King
It is something we can grow into
It is a path to grow into - and a constant effort to remain there.
We are asked:
To learn how to stand in relationship with power.
To see clearly - without becoming judgmental.
To act with direction - without becoming rigid.
To stay aligned - without falling into righteousness or blind activism.
The King is not above life.
He is the highest servant.
The one who takes full responsibility.
The one who cannot blame - but must act.
To to stay true and not get lost in illusions we are asked:
To seek other perspectives.
To receive the honest voices around us.
To humbly be in service to the greater good
Why This Work Matters
What we see in the world is a reflection of what lives within us.
Confusion
Division
Misuse of power
This work begins right here, right now - in the present moment, within ourselves.
To bring order to that chaos in us - and then into the world we touch.
But who is that King within us?
What virtues does he embody?
My answer is to look into a different kingdom -
to the plant world, and to one of its great regents:
The Oak.
The Oak
The Oak stands for strength without force.
For stability without rigidity.
For a deep connection between earth and sky.
As a throne for great spirit
There is a reason our ancestors gathered beneath these trees.
To meet beyond hierarchy
To listen honestly
To decide in service of the whole.
Because under the Oak,
No one needs to rush decisions.
No one needs to prove himself.
Wisdom is within reach.
Peace is the goal.
Let’s do the same.
The Ceremony
We meet in nature, and we walk - a small pilgrimage - towards the Oak.
At the tree, we enter a ceremonial space with cacao, silence, sound and guided mediation.
A space to listen deeper.
To realign.
To meet what is true within us and
To hear the truths of our bothers
We end with a shared meal in nature - grounding the experience in human connection.
My Invitation to You
Let’s meet ourselves under the Oak.
Let’s bring our offerings to one of the oldest beings living on this land.
Let’s drop our differences for a moment
and stand together in front of something greater than all of us.
Bring your sorrows.
Your worries.
Your curiosity.
Your love.
Come as you are - to meet yourself in other men - on equal ground.
